Want to Learn Web 2.0? ItCanBeDone!!!

Focus, Focus, Focus. Don't let every Web 2.0 marketer distract you.

Focus, Focus Focus

Don't let every new email distract you.

Its most important that you FOCUS. Don't get distracted. I'm constantly distracted. Something new and good presents itself and I jump on. Oh yes, I learn a lot - but I'm taken on a side road. Not the direction of my PLAN. My time wasted.

Then I hear about a great webinar on a topic I am interested in. I watch it - to the tune of 1 or 2 hours - taking notes. I'm a good learner. Listen to every word -- but don't take action. Once again down a side road. My time wasted.

Great E Book comes along. Maybe even FREE. Sign on. Read it. Attend a webinar, take more notes. Don't take action. Another side road trip. My time wasted.

No!! It's not all Time Wasted. Because what you learn stays with you and can be used at a later time. But at some point you have to get to DOING IT stage.

I'm currently going through the Renegade Professional system .  Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler are constantly reminding us to stay focused.  Do the actionwhile being taught.  Or turn off the video and do the action.  Thenreturn to the video for the next step.  It is so important to get oneconcept at a time.  Get it, do it, and see the rewards.  Jump from oneto another, and there will be few rewards.

You must Focus! Focus! Focus! Stay on track. Complete one task before moving on to the next. It's one of the most difficult things to do when you work for yourself.

In an office you must focus on getting something done - because there usually is a time limit. Actually, if you think about it, that's how we are trained in school. Who ever studied for a test a week before? No! You study the night before. How often did you read a book during summer vacation that you knew you would be making a book report on months later? Most likely you read it just in time to prepare the report and turn it in. Not to blame it on the schools - but that is just the way things work. We have a deadline and we get to work ... just before that deadline.

My husband is a writer - having a successful career in the television industry. He has always had a good work ethic. Yet, he has also remarked how difficult it is to stay focused. When he was working on a script in his home office, he could hear me and the children laughing as we prepared for dinner. But he had to keep at it. Block it out so he could complete the script before it was "due".

But that's just the point. He too had a deadline. The script was gong to be filmed - so it had to get to the studio to hand to the director in a timely manner.

But we network marketers - working from home - don't have deadlines. Maybe we need to start setting deadlines for ourselves. When I was a Camp Fire Girl, part of the motto was "To Remember to finish what I begin". That's a terrific motto for anyone working at home. Complete one task before moving on to another.

It's TIME -- to Finish what we Begin!!

It Can Be Done!!!

You Need a Plan for Your Web 2.0 Marketing. "Be Careful if you Don't Know Where You're Going, You Might Not Get There." Yogi Berra

It's crucial to set up YOUR plan for YOUR Web 2.0 marketing

"Be Careful if you Don't Know Where You're Going, You Might Not Get There". Yogi Berra

Take a tip from Yogi Berra. One of the first things you need to do is set up "Your Plan". Marketing on the internet should not be random. You need to have a plan in place. A plan that concentrates on your niche. A plan that will take you from here to Your Why. A plan you will fill in over time. It's not instant. Think of it more as a process.

Here's what you need for optimum results:

1. Determine your niche
2. Set up YOUR PLAN - based on your strengths. Do you like to write? Then blogging and articles and ezines will be for you. Are you most comfortable interacting with people? Then social sites will fit you better. Do you like to make videos? You Tube and My Space should suit your talents. You will need to do all three at some point. But you can major in the area you are most comfortable in.
3. You need a blog
4. You need a lead capture page
5. You need to be on some social sites
6. You need to write articles
7. You need to write Ezines
8. You need an auto responder
9. You need a campaign of emails that follow up with your list.

Link! Link! Link! You have to link everything together. This is an important concept to grasp. And it should be incorporated from the get go. However, it is an advanced concept - and takes more concentration and lots more training. But when you link properly, your blog or your article or your website get high rankings on the search engines.

Hold on a minute. That's getting too far ahead. Let's get back to what you need first - after you determine your niche and set up your plan.

OMG! (Oh My Gosh) Where Does One Begin to Learn Web 2.0 Marketing?

Where to start?
What is the most important thing I need to do to market on the internet?
Do I need a blog?
Do I need a Website?
Where do I get training?
What programs help you learn Web 2.0 Marketing?

Mike Dillard's Building on a Budget comes in the form of a actual book or booklet. Ann Sieg's The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing, The Renegade Network Marketer and The Attraction Marketer's Manifesto are downloaded over the internet - E-books. There's plenty to learn from all these books. And they were a great place for me to begin.  They will be for you, too.

I can’t go further without mentioning my two - hands-on trainers. Holly Powell and Melanie Milletics. They are my sponsors in my main business and both spent hours and hours teaching me and their downline the basics of Web 2.0 marketing. Without them I would have been lost. Their training paid off for me ... all who joined my business found me on the internet. They called me to enroll in my business! In one case, I found out they had joined by an email from my company!! How cool is that.

Holly is now a respected internet guru - check out what she's doing at her Blog where you can get a FREE 60-Page Social Media Guild. She has put together a team of 'out sourcers' that can help you with just about everything you need help with on the internet.

Melanie Milletics is moving fast and furious and skyrocketing in her MLM businesses. Because of her success, Dani Johnson, Ann Sieg, Mike Dillard - to name just a few - have testimonials from her on their sites about how she "did it". They are very powerful and inspirational. And what does Melanie offer: FREE - her book "Network Marketing Success Secrets. Get your copy today.

I learned that the old way to sell MLM’s is not the way I want to work my business. I don’t want to bug my family and friends. I don’t want to make cold calls to people that aren’t interested in what I have to say. And I don’t want to buy any more lists!!

Learning Web 2.0 Marketing is really learning how to share with others. I noticed one of the common elements they each teach is to GIVE VALUE. That means to share knowledge that will benefit others. I also noticed that they DO IT!! Their books and E-books are filled with valuable information that can help you succeed in Web 2.0 marketing.

The Web 2.0 marketers mentioned above, Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, Holly Powell and Melanie Milletics explain with great detail many of the secrets to their success. They lay out these tips in easy to follow instructions that you can duplicate by following step-by-step. Most of the instructions are done with videos and each one is packed with tons of material.

The best for me are the web sites that take you step-by-step. When you can pause the video and actually perform the function you are learning on a second screen – then some progress can be made. When you can pause the vide and actually perform the function you are learning on a second screen – then some progress can be made. You open the screen and watch the video - and open another screen on your PC where you actually DO IT.   That's what I've found from both Ann Sieg and Mike Dillard.

Do you ever feel you have only half the picture?

Hi, I’m Jo Anne Fogarty, and I’ve been a network marketer for about a year now. I’ve been married to Jack for 41 years. We have two grown children and three precious grandchildren. So I’m a grandma!! My kids still can’t believe Grandma has a You Tube Channel.

When I began this business last year, I didn’t know anything about network marketing. What’s an ISP? What’s a lead capture page and what does it capture? What’s an auto responder - and what does it respond to? What’s a blog? A Webinar? A Tag Word? These are just some of the questions I asked.

Well, thanks to a lot of great teaching and training - mostly from Holly Powell, I’ve come a long way. I always believed in network marketing - rejection free marketing. Hey, I joined on with Holly because of it. I met her on the internet. So I knew that was the way I wanted to pursue my business - online.

I knew I do not like bugging my friends and family. I do not like selling to the folks at Starbucks. That just isn’t me. I can sell, but I want to sell to those that want the product. I want to have a system that attracts people to me - instead of chasing them. Attraction Marketing - or better yet - Rejection-Free Marketing.

So I started to learn. I attended every webinar - three days a week. I viewed countless videos. I learned how to set up my YouTube channel - and I started making videos. My story marketing.

I learned about the tag words. And guess what - it worked!!! Everyone in my downline are people that found me on the internet. So I continue to work the net - and to learn.

But somehow - I feel I’m always seeing just half of the picture. Do you ever feel that way? I think I’m moving right along, and then I hear some new term that I’m totally clueless about. Something new I need to learn.

Just when I think I’ve got it going good. I find out that there’s more - sooo much more.

It’s like I keep going to the ‘learn here’ button - and then I find out there’s an "advanced" button I never knew about.

And that advanced button is full of language I don’t understand. And often the training seems to skip a step. Have you ever printed a page out to read and had the right margin cut off - so you don’t have the last two words on the end of each line. You have to fill in the blanks.

That’s the place I find myself today. Trying to fill in the blanks. I’m told you need to go to the next step. When I do go to the next step - I don’t fully understand what I’m doing and why. I go through the motions. But because I don’t understand the "why" - I feel I’ve missed a step that everyone in Advanced assumed I learned in Basic.

Do you find yourself just seeing half of the picture, too. Well, this blog is hopefully going to help us both be able to see the whole picture.

As I learn a new skill, hopefully I’ll be able to impart that to you and perhaps you can share back to help fill in the blanks.

Welcome

Look forward to helping you navigate this thing called Web 2.0.  Marketing on the Internet is so different from what you may have learned in a brick and mortar business.  It's a whole new world.  And it is delightfully crazy!!
